The much-awaited trailer of Rashmi Rocket is released on Thursday and looks so promising and gripping. The trailer shows the story of an athlete Rashmi, born with natural talent as a sprinter, who’s from a small village background.

The trailer tracks the journey of Rashmi from a tiny village to an athlete contest, whose life changes dramatically after she is asked to undergo a gender test. Later with constant media glare, Rashmi’s career gets questioned.

Rashmi decides to fight and face every challenge and obstacle to get justice. Not only for her but to get justice for every female athlete who faced the same problems. Rashmi Rocket is a film “inspired by the struggle of several female athletes.”

Starring Taapsee Pannu in the lead role as Rashmi and Priyanshu Painyuli as Rashmi’s love interest. Supriya Pathak as her mother and Abhishek Banerjee as a lawyer who fights for Rashmi’s case in the courtroom.

The film Rashmi Rocket is not just a story of an athlete but the story of the struggle of several female athletes. This film goes from a tiny village to athlete contests, to courtrooms and beyond.

For her role in Rashmi Rocket, lead actress Taapsee Pannu underwent strict training and followed the diet. Taapsee shared several snippets actively about her role in Rashmi Rocket and her transformation in social media. Earlier this week, when Taapsee Pannu shared a picture of her from behind the scenes of Rashmi Rocket, a Bollywood news-centric handles responded and wrote, “Ye Mard Ki Body Wali sirf @taapsee Hi Ho Sakti hai.”

Directed by Akarsh Khurana and co-produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Neha Anand and Pranjal Khandhdiya, Rashmi Rocket is slated to release on Zee5 on October 15.
